One way is with a filter in Photoshop: From the top tool bar click Filter>Distort>Pinch
One of the best things you can do is just open a photo and go through the Filters, clicking on all of them, one at a time to see what they do...lots of really great effects to create using the filters.

Okay, I got a nice question.. how do you make, from a picture, the haircolour lighter. For example this one: www.scribesoferiador.com/temp/Rian.jpg I am such a newbie regarding photoshop. If you know any good tutorials... Tips, tricks..

well if the hair is originally dark with well defined lines it's pretty easy you just add a new layer and then on that layer select the hair area then add to the selected area the color you want then blend the layers...errm correct me incase am wrong

I'm usch a newbie... layers, yes I saw them somewhere. So, select the hair area, maybe I should copy the hair selection, change it, add the new layer (selection) on top of it? I used to do that with fireworks.

ok here are the steps: 1. Open the file you want to change...it'll become the background layer. To know where u stand in layers go to Window>layers 2. Go to Layer> New Layer 3. While on the new layer( to make sure on the layers window click on the new layer which is supposed to be on top of the background)select using the lasso tool the hair. it helps if you magnify. 4. Choose the colour you want to use to darken or lighten the hair.Different colours give different effects. and fill the selected area on the new layer with that colour 5. Deselect. Double click on the layer to go the blending options and select blending style...most probably Color or Darken or Lighten will work. 6. play around with the opacity of the layer till you have the right effect You can always change the layer colour without refilling by Cntrl U>colourize tell me if it worked or if you have questions...

I am not good with Photoshop, but my eldest is taking computer animation in college, so whenever I need help with it I turn to him. He got totally fed up yelling "Alex, how do I ...?" and gave me this link which I have found helpful. www.3dcafe.com/asp/tutphotoshop.aspand this one: www.pegaweb.com/tutorials/web-design-and-adobe-photoshop-tutorials.htmI hope that helps ... I know I bookmarked that page ... and then still had to call "Alex ... where is that page again?" (I forgot to move my favourites over when I reformatted my computer before Christmas)
